Who we are
A great way to learn ukulele is to participate in UCW Strum ‘n Suds and Open Mic events where other members will share tips and tricks so you can learn how to strum on the ukulele and finger chords. Regular practice is essential to learning ukulele, no different from any activity you undertake.
You can also play along with songs played during our Strum ‘n Suds events that are posted live to our Facebook page.
Several UWC members are ukulele instructors, check them out at our Ukulele Teachers page.

The UCW 10th Anniversary Song Book Edition 2 June 2021 is used at all strums and at other club events. It has a great introduction section to explain ukulele basics such as ukulele parts, strum patterns, tuning, tablature, and circle of fifths (fourths). There are 311 modern, traditional, seasonal and Canadian songs organized alphabetically by song name with an index. The appendices categorize the songs by the number of chords, song key, riffs and tablatures, and performance songs. The songbook is great for solo practice and is recommended for the strums.
You can purchase the UCW Songbook at one of our Strum ‘n Suds or submit your request at this link.
